Who are we?

 

 

 

The promotion of eco-citizenship and the search for the development of populations is currently a major challenge in the context of sustainable development.

It is to contribute to the SDG, a group of women and men had the idea to create an association on January 6, 2014 called Association Sombouildou Neemawaya for Development (ASND). It was officially recognized on February 20th, 2015 under the N °: N00000413401 by the MATD / SG / DGLPAP / DOASC of Burkina Faso The association has two (02) organs:

  • The general Assembly
  • The Executive Bureau

It is driven by:

  • A sociologist in development
  • A Social Affairs Officer
  • A fund research officer
  • An Administrative and Financial Manager
  • Two human rights facilitators
  • Volunteers, part-time employees

It currently has ninety-seven (97) individual members and fifteen (15) village groups (GV) distributed as follows:

  • 3 groups in the province of Bam (kongounsi)
  • 5 associations in Kadiogo province
  • 10 groups in Yatenga province
  • 2 groups in the department of Séguenéga
  • 3 groups in the province of Lorum (Gourcy)
Our goals

The objective sought by ASND is to promote the promotion of eco-citizenship and the search for the development of the population

Specifically, its desired objectives are:

  • Defend and promote the rights of children living in difficult situations and women who are marginalized or socially excluded;
  • Promote the respect and preservation of the environment of the populations especially children in primary schools;
  • Support education, respect for the improvement of our living environment through the collection and recycling of waste (in households and plastic bags in nature)
  • Support and develop agricultural and ecological projects to promote the occupation of young people in their locality;
  • Encourage and support education, schooling of orphans and children in difficult circumstances through the sponsorship system
  • Support the development of school and community infrastructure
  • Create and support the socio-professional and entrepreneurial activities of young people and women.
Areas of intervention

To achieve these objectives, ASND has targeted five (05) intervention sectors corresponding to the priority areas identified. Those are :

  • Environmental protection and eco-citizenship of populations
  • Children’s Sponsorships
  • Accompaniment to the realization of school and community infrastructures and to the socio-economic activities of young people and women
  • Awareness / training
  • Promotion and protection of human rights and health
Target groups

ASND is an association, which works mainly for women, young people and disadvantaged children among others unemployment, poverty, orphanage and societal abandonment or exclusion. These people are a vulnerable target group.

However, for integrated development, its intervention takes into account the needs and expectations of the community (women, men, young people, children), while placing particular emphasis on strengthening the participation and role of children and young people in the community. sustainable development process.

Our achievements

Since its recognition, the association has implemented several activities and microprojects. These activities were carried out on own funds and the support of partners. The situation is as follows below:

  • Environmental protection and eco-citizenship of populations
    • Public awareness of the dangers of using plastic bags
    • Zongo women’s equipment kits for waste recycling
  • Children’s Sponsorships
    • Sponsorship project for 100 children (aged 6 to 13) in difficult situation in the village of Kongoussi, BAM, Ouahigouya and Ouagadougou in 2016
    • Gift of clothes toys for children in difficult situation
  • Accompaniment to the realization of school and community infrastructures and to the socio-economic activities of young people and women
    • Construction project and equipment of a primary school in Bogoya (in progress)
    • Drilling with a voluntary system
  • Awareness / training
    • Training of opinion leaders on the consequences of excision of girls in the northern region in 2017
    • Awareness program of 10 villages about the consequences of excision in Yatenga province in the north of the country in 2018
    • Awareness project for the fifteen (15) ASND member villages on human rights (rights and duties of children) and in 2015 – 2016
    • Awareness on immigration through the realization of a sporting activity
  • Promotion and protection of human rights and health
    • Support / assistance to the disabled: health, equipment: crutches, wheelchairs for the disabled
    • Ophthalmological care for four children in the village of Bogoya
